Allmendinger wins the Sprint Shootout
A.J. Allmendinger (No. 84) wins the Sprint Shootout and earns a spot in the All-Star Race.
It is was true shootout finish, with three laps to go, with A.J. Allmendinger (No. 84) and Sam Hornish (No. 77) took the lead, respectively.
Hornish tried to bump Allmendinger out of first place, but couldn’t make it before the second round of laps expired.
Now these two drivers will get a chance to race in the All-Star Race.
Kasey Kahne (No. 9) has won the fan vote and will also race in the All-Star Race, coming up around 9 p.m.
